Best time of year for a luxury African safari in Botswana

Botswana is an excellent year-round safari destination, but certain water-based activities are seasonal. Flood water usually starts flowing into the Okavango Delta in June, and by October many areas of the Delta will have dried up, leaving behind grassy floodplains well-suited to game drives. In general big game viewing is easier in the dry months when animals converge on the rivers and other water sources. The Green Season is, however, great for bird watching as seasonal migrant species are present, as well as for observing the many young animals that are born in the wetter months.

Book our Botswana private luxury safari packages in Southern Africa and experience a tailor-made luxury African safari beyond words!

We will design a private luxury African safari package, tailor-made to suit your own specific profile and requirements. For an extended luxury African safari we recommend to combine your Botswana luxury safari with luxury camps and lodges in other Southern African countries. On request your luxury safari in Botswana can also be combined with luxury lodges and camps in East Africa, but this will involve more travelling.
